Today, August 8, we celebrate the Great Bee Day – a unique initiative to protect these extremely important insects. Bees play a key role in our ecosystem, ensuring pollination of many plants, so that we have honey and delicious fruit.

🐝In Poland, about 470 species of bees are threatened by extinction. It is thanks to them that crops not only grow, but also bear fruit. Without bees, crops could fall by up to 70-80%, which would mean no apples, cherries, pumpkins or currants on our tables.

That is why it is so important that we all take action to protect them. We can do this by wearing honey flowers on balconies or in gardens, as well as learning how to recognize bees and not kill them for fear.

We also encourage you to wear something yellow on this day – it is a symbol of support for bees!
