Due to the errors generated by the CBAM Interim Register and difficulties in the functioning of the National Register, the Centre informs that the submission of the CBAM report for the fourth quarter of 2023 will also be possible after 31 January 2024. 🚨

The EC has announced that as of 1 February in the Interim Register, the function "request for late deposit" will be made available, which gives an additional 30 days to submit a CBAM report. 🗓️

The information provided to us by the EC shows that this possibility should be available after clicking on the tile register "my quarterly reports", next to the relevant reporting quarter.

No sanctions shall be imposed on notifiers subject to reporting obligations where problems related to the malfunctioning of the CBAM Interim Register and the errors it produces result in a failure to submit a full CBAM report within the time limit provided that the correct notification is submitted after the end of these reasons.

At the same time, in case of doubts about the content of the report, we stress that the CBAM report can be corrected by the reporting officer also after its submission. 🔄 CBAM reports sent for Q4 2023 can be modified until July 31, 2024 📅
