It is an ideal opportunity to celebrate not only the libraries themselves, but also those who make them magical places – our dear librarians.

“Each book lives as many times as it has been read."

Libraries are the treasures of knowledge, a place where everyone can find something for themselves: from classic novels to the latest bestsellers, from textbooks to fairy tales for children. These are places that promote reading, culture and science, inspiring and expanding the horizons of all visitors.

The library also has a very important contribution to ecology and the idea of zero waste. Yes! It is thanks to them that we do not have to buy more books each time and therefore produce even more books. This saves the resources used to produce books or textbooks. Books that are in the library can use 2 or even 3 generations until they are actually destroyed by use. In addition to providing us with books, libraries also welcome our books, which we have purchased, but we do not want to use them anymore. They use them as their own resources or organize corners and bookcrossing events where anyone can receive or return the book free of charge.

Equally important are those who work in this magical place – librarians. They are not only book keepers but also guides in the world of literature and knowledge. Always ready to help, advise on choosing the right reading or finding the necessary information.

Thanks to their passion, commitment and knowledge of the library, they become not only a place to rent books, but also centres of the community where they hold copyright meetings, workshops or discussions. It is the librarians who create an atmosphere of friendship and openness that makes you want to return to them.
